Hotel Casa Real

Valencia, Venezuela. [1990]

A 230 room five star hotel located on a mountain overlooking the city of Valencia. The main block of rooms, six stories high, arcs gently against the hill. A courtyard is created by a two-story colonnade which leads to the ballroom and conference areas. The entrance contains a cylindrical open space with a light monitor above and then opens to view the lobby and the palm court beyond. The roof is composed of private terraces with sun decks and small bathing pools.
